back to editorial back to editorial

Anatolia proudly celebrates its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of design innovation, refined craftsmanship, and global growth. What began in Canada, 1995 as a small distribution operation in Markham, Ontario has evolved into a leading international brand and manufacturer shaping architectural spaces around the world.

This milestone reflects the values that have guided Anatolia since its inception. Founded by Cengiz Elmaagacli, and now led jointly by Cengiz, Bekir, and Berrin, the company has remained rooted in honesty, integrity, respect, and a strong sense of family. What began as a 4,300 sq ft facility in Markham has grown into operations totaling close to 5 million sq ft.

Over the years, Anatolia has expanded its global presence with headquarters and design studios in Toronto, Canada; a key distribution hub in Savannah, United States; an extensive two-million-square-foot manufacturing and design center in Izmir, Turkiye; and sourcing teams positioned in China, India, and Turkiye. This global network enables Anatolia to remain agile, connected, and aligned with the evolving directions of architecture and interior design.

A legacy shaped by design and innovation.

Anatolia’s in-house teams explore emerging ideas in materials, textures, and aesthetics, supported by significant investments in research. This design-driven approach ensures surfaces that are not only visually compelling but engineered with precision—trusted by architects, designers, and retailers worldwide. Beyond design, Anatolia’s operations are powered by advanced automation, data-driven logistics, and technology-enabled production that support efficiency, quality, and growth.

As a family-led global company, Anatolia embraces a culture where creativity and collaboration thrive. Sustainability is an integral part of this mission, reflected in energy-efficient manufacturing, water recycling initiatives, ethical sourcing, and solar investments across its operations. These commitments continue to guide Anatolia into its next chapter.

“Thirty years marks the evolution of our craft and the shared dedication that defines Anatolia. We celebrate this milestone with gratitude and look ahead with a renewed commitment to design, innovation, and excellence.”

Our philosophy of continued improvement, innovation, design, and customer excellence is what defines Anatolia. Our first three decades have been shaped by exploration and groundbreaking progress. As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to advancing our craft and creating meaningful, timeless surfaces for the spaces of tomorrow.

We look forward to continuing our growth, strengthening our partnerships, and shaping the next generation of surfaces.

To honor the journey that has brought us here, we reflect on some defining moments in our company’s history. Founded in 1995 in Markham, Ontario, Anatolia began with a vision to redefine architectural surfaces. Just a year later, its first containers arrived in Canada, introducing glass products and paving the way for international growth. The company made its global trade show debut in 2002, expanding its presence worldwide.

In 2018, Anatolia opened a 400,000 sq ft (37,200 m²) facility in Izmir, Turkiye, boosting both production and design capabilities, followed by its first U.S.-owned facility in Savannah, Georgia, in 2019. By 2023, the company unveiled a state-of-the-art 2,267,450 sq ft (210,653 m²) Izmir manufacturing center, establishing one of the world’s most advanced production hubs. Most recently, in 2025, Anatolia launched Aeterna, a next-generation surface that combines timeless design with cutting-edge material innovation.
